Welcome to SMSLab in Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Ewha Womans University!
System modeling and simulation is an essential technology in the fourth industrial revolution era when everything is digitalized and is being applied to artificial intelligence, digital twins, cyber-physical systems, metaverse, etc.
We research mathematical system modeling theories and computer simulation methodologies, and apply them to various real systems, such as smart factories, smart cities, maritime disasters, military, etc. In addition, we study simulation-based analysis/optimization/prediction techniques (e.g., genetic algorithm, stochastic optimization, etc.) to efficiently utilize simulations. We develop high fidelity digital twins by combining data models based on machine learning, and research hypothetical model-based learning to overcome the limitations of artificial intelligence for dynamic systems.
We are looking for highly motivated undergraduate(intern)/graduate students and postdoctoral researchers as well. Students and Reseawill be given scholarship and opportunities to participate domestic and international conferences if they are enrolled in research projects. Researchers will be given full funding, including social insurance. We are trying to provide the best environment for research.
