Michael Ross

I am a Primary School Teacher working and living in Inverness, Scotland. 

I have extensive experience in Scottish Education, beginning as a Class Teacher and then progressing to hold a variety of leadership roles:

• Additional Support Needs Teacher

• Principal Teacher (2 different schools)

• Deputy Head Teacher of a school

• Deputy Head of an Associated School Group (10 Primary Schools and 1 Secondary School). My remit was 'raising attainment' through improving approaches to teaching and learning.

• Acting Head Teacher at a school to cover a secondment.

I am very passionate about teaching and learning. For me, there are 2 key elements to my approach:

• utilising approaches to teaching and learning that are evidence based and have been proven over time to be effective.

• ensuring that children develop a love of learning and gain a sense of enjoyment and confidence.
