Event Day News!


  • We have been getting requests about moving in on Thursday night. Move in time is between 5:00 and 8:30. Keep in Mind Unity may still have employees and tenants in the parking lot, so your space may not be immediately available. We have people there to assist.

  • Our power has changed a little as result of Hurricane Barry, the company which initially donated all the power pulled out as a sponsor on Friday and is reallocating their generators to the gulf coast. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this natural disaster. Our friends at OBR are already being mobilized.

  • Fortunately, we had another sponsor step in an arrange Power while we should have adequate power it will be limited to 20 AMPS if you have a generator we suggest you have it on standby because if the weather is hot the generators may not produce enough power to accommodate all the teams power needs. Special Thanks to PUROCLEAN for the 11th hours save.

  • Since we have fewer teams this year we have provided more space between the rows, so the completion area should feel somewhat roomy.

  • Kids Q meeting will be at 5:00 turn in for the Kids Q will be 7:30
  • The kids will all be cooking Hamburgers, provided by Valley Oaks
  • We will have the cooks meeting at 5:30 on Friday night.
  • Saturday morning Unity planned on opening their cafeteria.
  • We did have T shirts made this year sizes from L to 3/4 xl, there are a few 4xl They will be $10 dollars each and all the profit goes to the Rotary club for their various foundations and support of other organizations
  • We will have ice again this year. The Price is 4.00 a bag it is limited
  • Trash pickup will happen throughout the day there. Place it out front of your space in a sealed bag.
