Information We Collect and Use
SmokingWeaner may collect or process the following types of information depending on how you use the app.
Local App Data
SmokingWeaner stores most of your personal app data locally on your device. This may include:
- Smoking history
- Smoking timestamps and progress information
- Craving journal entries
- Craving intensity, outcome, duration, and coping actions
- Optional craving notes entered by you
- App settings
- Weaning-plan settings
- Quit-date or quit-progress information
- Health Timeline progress
- Achievement progress and unlock history
- Backup and export settings
This information is used to provide the app’s core tracking, weaning, craving journal, progress, backup, export, health timeline, and achievement features.
SmokingWeaner does not upload your craving notes, exact cigarette counts, exact craving intensity, trigger names, quit date, backup file names, CSV contents, purchase tokens, or order IDs through its custom analytics events.
Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, SmokingWeaner may receive basic account information from Google, such as your email address or Google account identifier, to support account-related app functionality.
SmokingWeaner does not sell this information.
Firebase Analytics and Usage Events
SmokingWeaner uses Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics for Firebase to understand broad app usage and improve the app.
The app may log broad product-usage events such as:
- Opening the subscription screen
- Tapping a Premium option
- Starting a purchase flow
- Tapping Restore Purchases
- Tapping Manage Subscription
- Logging a first smoking record
- Logging a first craving
- Completing a breathing exercise
- Unlocking an achievement category
- Creating a backup
- Exporting a CSV file
These analytics events are intended to help us understand how users interact with the app and improve the app experience.
SmokingWeaner does not send craving notes, exact cigarette counts, exact craving intensity, trigger names, quit date, health milestone status, backup file names, CSV contents, purchase tokens, order IDs, email address, Google account ID, owner key, or advertising ID through its custom analytics events.
Google AdMob and Advertising
SmokingWeaner uses Google AdMob to show banner ads and rewarded ads to free users.
AdMob may collect or use information such as device information, advertising identifiers including the Android Advertising ID, ad interactions, approximate location derived from device/network information, and other information according to Google’s policies and the user’s device settings.
This information may be used by Google and AdMob for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, security, and service improvement.
Premium users may have ads removed as part of their subscription benefits.
Google Play Billing and Subscriptions
SmokingWeaner uses Google Play Billing to offer Premium subscriptions, restore purchases, and manage subscriptions.
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Google may process payment and subscription information according to Google’s own policies.
SmokingWeaner may receive purchase or entitlement status information needed to unlock Premium features. SmokingWeaner does not log purchase tokens or order IDs in its custom analytics events.
Firebase / Firestore Aggregate Data
SmokingWeaner may write limited aggregate app statistics, such as overall quit-count totals, to Firebase / Firestore.
These aggregate statistics are intended for app functionality or general progress display and are not intended to identify individual users.
Backups and CSV Exports
SmokingWeaner allows you to create backups and CSV exports of supported app data.
Backup and export files are saved only to the location you choose through Android’s system file picker. You control where those files are stored and who can access them.
If you share, upload, copy, or store backup or export files outside the app, that storage location or third-party service may have its own privacy practices.
How We Use Information
SmokingWeaner may use information to:
- Provide cigarette tracking, craving tracking, weaning-plan, health timeline, achievement, backup, and export features
- Save your app progress locally on your device
- Provide Premium subscription access
- Restore purchases
- Show ads to free users
- Provide rewarded-ad access to certain app features
- Understand broad app usage and improve the app
- Diagnose reliability or functionality issues
- Prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse

SmokingWeaner may share or allow processing of information with service providers such as Google, Firebase, AdMob, Google Play Billing, and Google Sign-In as needed to provide app functionality, analytics, advertising, subscriptions, fraud prevention, security, and service improvement.
SmokingWeaner may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the app, or others.
Data Retention and Deletion
Most SmokingWeaner tracking data is stored locally on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
You can delete or reset supported app data using the app’s settings where available. You can also remove app data by clearing the app’s storage through Android settings or uninstalling the app.
Backup and export files are controlled by you. If you create a backup or CSV export, you are responsible for deleting that file from wherever you saved it.

Some information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. Information sent to third-party services such as Google, Firebase, AdMob, and Google Play is transmitted using secure methods such as HTTPS where applicable.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
SmokingWeaner is not intended for children. The app is intended for users who are legally old enough to use smoking-related or nicotine-related cessation and reduction tools in their location.
