July 2025
We are in the process of updating our website for the coming school year. This will take some time to be fully completed. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please let us know if there is any information you believe should be included.
Our Commitment
We aim to live our school motto ‘Oideas don Saol’ (Education for Life) and provide every child with opportunities to grow, learn and flourish.
Alongside this, as a Catholic school, Christian Values are modelled, firmly established and embedded in our daily interactions. These values are not exclusive to Christianity. They are shared human values which align with people of many faiths and none, underpinning a culture of respect, inclusion and kindness.
We are very proud of the warm, inclusive, values-based environment we nurture and cultivate. Guided by our Plean Scoile, we strive to help every child to grow holistically, learn actively and flourish personally equipping them to become empathetic, resilient and responsible individuals.
In essence, we want our school to be a place where everybody is 'cineálta' to each other.

Children regularly use different websites and apps from their parents and it can be hard to keep up in this ever-changing digital world.
The things that help keep children safe online are often similar to the things that keep them safe offline.
Talk about what they think is normal online and what behaviour to expect from others and from themselves.
Please click on the image above and read "A Parent's Guide to A Better Internet".
Our Cash for Clobber initiative has been a very successful fundraiser for St Mary's. To date we have raised in excess of €4 000! Monies raised have been put to great use in furnishing and stocking our school library. Thank you to everybody who has made donations since we began and please, keep your donations coming.

Note to Parents
The post below was published here during the first school closure in 2020. All five videos are still worth watching.
Monday, 27th April 2020
Dear Parents,
The 'National Parents Council' and 'Walk in My Shoes' have teamed up to develop a series of very short videos for parents. Each one contains very practical advice to help you support your child at this time.
These excellent videos, which promote and provide positive mental health strategies, are presented by Mr Paul Gilligan, CEO of St Patrick's Mental Health Services.
There are five in total and are well worth listening to. I will upload one each day this week for you. The viewing time for all five videos is less than twelve minutes.
