Meet the Pastoral Staff

Chris & Holly Moore started at the Smithville Church of God as interns in the MIP program in 2005. Once they graduated the program they were officially hired as the youth pastor.  After 2 years of service, Chris and Holly spent 4 years serving in full time youth ministry in Kentucky before returning to serve once again as our youth pastor.  In March 2016 Chris was voted in unanimously as Senior Pastor where he has been serving ever since.  Chris is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God.  

Holly is a certified pharmacy technician and serves as Hospitality Director for the Smithville Church of God as well as working as a Teaching Assistant at DeKalb County High School.

Chris and Holly were 1998 and have 5 children.

Jerry and Bethany Strait have been serving as Youth Pastor & Children's Pastor since 2016.  Jerry is a native of Woodbury and grew up in the Smithville Church of God youth group.  Bethany joined us as Children's Pastor when her father, Reverend T. Michael Farr, served as pastor. Both Jerry and Bethany are Licensed Ordained Ministers in the Church of God.

 Jerry and Bethany were married in 2008 and have 4 children.

Bethany is a 2005 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in accounting and teaches Math in Cannon County.  Additionally, Jerry teaches math at DeKalb County High School.
