We booked last minute to stay for 2 nights. It was lovely place, in a great setting and easy to get to. There are some pitches for tents, caravans, motor homes with electric and none electric. Our son loved they had a basketball π net for him to shoot hops. π great place to stay if you love walking. You can take a walk up the canal or surrounding area. If itβs wet brings some boots or wellies. We walked down to the Smiths Arm for some food one night. The food is lovely. Fun time had by all.

Spent a night at this campsite and it was just what we were looking for. A lovely little spot, spacious pitch. The place had a really nice feel about it. Loved the naturalness of it and the eco vibes. It was also well maintained and clean. Particularly liked the basketball/ games court and the zip line. Would love to come back for a full weekend next time instead of one night. Thanks

What a lovely place. Good price. The staff, are ace. I met Rick and Jennifer and they couldn't be more helpful. On the site there is a sports area in an old farm store made of concrete (think clarcksons farm where they made a grain store out of hay bales), two goals, a basket ball net and some balls. Also on the main field there is a zip line which looks good, but we didn't try it. I'd say best for 10 and up as it's relatively high. It was a hot weekend and there was a young lad selling cool refreshments. He is also helpful and pointed me to where Jennifer would be. The ground was soft and only had trouble putting in 1 or two pegs, but these where.on the side of the road, so that's to be expected. The area has a canal nearby which is a nice walk and a few pubs near by. On at the end of the canal, and one on the main entry. Also locally is the steam railway and museum, which I'll be reviewing separately, but in short the staff there are great. Must be a Preston thing. π If you...
