What grade do you teach?

I teach fifth and sixth grade social studies and writing. I have also taught third and fourth grade.

How long have you been teaching? What did you do before that?

This is my fifth year in the classroom! Before teaching, I for a nonprofit and for a university in Indianapolis. My work included volunteer management, event planning and coordination, social media management, and some marketing work.

Where did you go to college?

I graduated from Indiana University in 2011 with a B.A. in English and Political Science. I graduated from Ithaca College in 2015 with a M.S. in Childhood Education.

What's your family like?

My husband's name is Zach and my pup's name is Rocky. We live in Albany. I come from a tight knit family. My parents and brother live in the Midwest.

What do you do for fun?

I love to practice yoga, travel, take Rocky to the dog park, hang out with my teacher friends, read, and write. I also listen to a LOT of podcasts.
