Summary
I am currently Head of Impact and Strategy at Class 13
I have extensive experience designing and conducting evaluations of interventions seeking to tackle social problems, including delivery and commissioning. I am skilled in designing theories of change and developing evaluation frameworks, both as part of my various social research roles at NatCen, Youth Futures, and Frontline, and as a consultant for third sector clients such as The Black Curriculum and BBC Children in Need.
I have over ten years of research experience managing short- and long-term research projects from inception to completion. This has involved in-depth background research and planning, qualitative and quantitative fieldwork, quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis, disseminating findings and demonstrating research impact.
I completed my PhD in Linguistics at Queen Mary University of London, gratefully funded by the ESRC LSS DTC. My supervisors were Professor Devyani Sharma and Professor Jenny Cheshire, and my examiners were Professor Jane Stuart-Smith and Dr Pia Pichler.
I obtained an MA in English, concentration in Linguistics at North Carolina State University, supervised by Professor Erik Thomas, and I completed a BA in English Language and Linguistics at University of Sheffield, supervised by Professor Emma Moore.
