Find and read the directions to a board game you play often - do you play according to the rules or has the way you play changed over time? Think, tell or write about it.
Go for a walk and read the street signs - challenge: try to remember the streets in alphabetical order
Make letters with Play-Doh or finger paint
Make your own sight words memory game (fold a piece of paper into 16 equal squares, cut out the squares and write each word on 2 squares - mix, flip and play) challenge: use 2 pieces of paper for double the words; expert level challenge: instead of writing the same word on both cards, write the word on one and the definition on the other. Note: you can use the same word cards to play sight word or vocabulary go fish!
Keep a daily journal of your experiences during the school closure
Write letters/emails to family members or friends
Watch a favorite movie or television show together then imagining or acting out what might happen next
Look out a window and write about what you see - use your best descriptive language
