Currently, my copyediting/proofreading rates for individual clients are roughly:

$3.50 a page (double-spaced) for short pieces (under ten pages)

1 cent per word for long pieces (10 pages or more)

I also do more extensive editing and restructuring when warranted, which costs more (~$30 for short pieces), but did recently help a client get accepted to Penn for grad school, so it's worth it if you need it. What is a personal assistant? I do your adulting for you. I make your phone calls, organize your stuff, do your shopping, assemble your furniture, whatever you need, even cooking. I'm really good at doing other people's adulting.
