About Co-ops

The San Mateo Council is part of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS), a network of cooperative preschools throughout California.

Parent cooperative preschools are founded on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers, and children. Co-ops offer developmentally appropriate, play-based learning environments and are staffed by trained early childhood education teachers.
