National Service Scheme

Introduction

The Overall aim Of “National Service Scheme” is orient the students, youth to

Community service while they are studing in educational institution.

The reason for the formulation of this objective is general realisation that the

College and +2 level student have a good tendency to get alienated from the

Village/ slum masses which constitute the majority of the population of the

Country.

objectives

1) Understand the community in which they work.

Understand themselves in the relation to their community.

2) Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in Problem solving process.

3) Devlop among themselves a sence of social and civic responsibilty.

4) Utilize their knowledge in finding partial solutions to individual and community problems.

5) Gain Skills in mobilising community participation.

Motto:

The Motto of NSS "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the students develop appreciation to other person's point of view and also show consideration to '/other living beings. The philosophy of the NSS is well doctrine in this motto, which underlines/on the belief that the welfare .of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society on the whole and therefore, the NSS volunteers shall strive for the well-being of the society.

Organised Hand wash programme for the primary school students.

Visit to Vruddhashram (At-Kelungan)
