MUSIC SCHEDULE

The Liturgical Year

Just as our everyday calendars mark the passage of time in seasons and celebrations, the Church's liturgical calendar reveals the Paschal Mystery of Christ through seasonal cycles. The music we sing at Mass reflects these seasons. We are currently in the season of Ordinary Time. During this period, we hear of Christ's earthly ministry and remember our call to discipleship and sanctity through the examples of the Apostles.

The hymns we sing at Mass correspond to particular liturgical seasons and themes, drawing us into contemplation of the Paschal Mystery with the whole Church. During Ordinary Time, many of these themes relate to ministry, responding to God's call, trust, anticipation, and hope. Below, you'll find the music list for the next few weeks at St. Mary of the Bay.
