Dr. Deborah Dahl (Dahl@conversational-Technologies.com) is an expert on natural language and speech processing technology, with over 30 years of experience. She is also knowledgeable on speech and language standards, having worked on standards at the World Wide Web Consortium and the Linux Foundation AI and Data Foundation. Dr. Dahl’s most recent book, Natural Language Understanding with Python, was published in 2023.
Dr. Dirk Schnelle-Walka (dirk@switch-consulting.de) is an expert in voice-centric multimodal interaction for smart spaces, currently working as a Project Manager in the audio domain in automotive. He specializes in bridging academic research and industrial applications through ongoing research, open-source development, and standardization efforts.
Dr. Gérard Chollet (gerard.chollet@telecom-sudparis.eu) holds a PhD in Computer Science and Linguistics from the University of California. He is an Emeritus CNRS researcher affiliated with Institut Mines-Télécom focusing on Speech and Language Technologies. He is consulting for several companies and active in standardization activities with W3C and MPAI. He supervised more than 40 PdD theses and published multiple books and articles.
