Smart SMS Hub is an SMS messaging application that allows users to send, receive, read, search, organize, and manage SMS messages. It also provides optional automation features that can forward matching SMS messages to a Telegram chat configured by the user.
Smart SMS Hub may access the following information when required for its features:
SMS and message content
The app accesses incoming and stored SMS messages so it can display conversations, send and receive SMS, mark messages as read or unread, search messages, manage message threads, move messages to Trash, restore messages, and apply user-configured automation rules.
Phone numbers and SMS sender information
Sender and recipient phone numbers may be processed locally to organize conversations, identify message threads, apply sender filters, display recipients, and support sending SMS messages.
Contacts information
If the user grants Contacts permission, Smart SMS Hub may access saved contact names and phone numbers.
Contacts access is used to:
Display saved contact names alongside phone numbers in SMS conversations.
Display contact names in conversation headers.
Allow users to select a saved contact when composing a new SMS message.
Display saved contact names for conversations stored in the app's Trash.
Contact information accessed for these features is processed locally on the device. Smart SMS Hub does not upload, sell, or share the user's contact list with third parties.
Users may deny or revoke Contacts permission at any time through Android application settings. The app will continue to provide SMS functionality, but phone numbers may be displayed without corresponding contact names.
Notification information
The app may display notifications for newly received SMS messages.
Automation settings
The app stores settings such as forwarding status, keyword filters, sender filters, Telegram Bot Token, Telegram Chat ID, owner name, and Trash retention preferences on the device.
SMS data is used only to provide the messaging and automation features requested by the user.
Smart SMS Hub does not use SMS content for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or sale to third parties.
Telegram forwarding is optional and remains disabled unless the user configures and enables it.
When enabled, Smart SMS Hub evaluates incoming SMS messages against rules configured by the user, such as keywords, sender filters, and optional numeric-code detection.
If a message matches the user's configured rules, relevant message content and sender information may be transmitted over the internet to Telegram using the Telegram Bot API and delivered to the Telegram chat selected by the user.
This transfer occurs only as part of the forwarding feature enabled and configured by the user.
Smart SMS Hub does not transmit the user's contact list to Telegram as part of the Contacts integration.
Telegram's handling of data is governed by Telegram's own terms and privacy practices.
Smart SMS Hub stores app preferences and configuration locally on the device.
Messages moved to the app's Trash are stored locally in the app's private database until they are restored, permanently deleted, or automatically removed according to the selected retention period.
Contact names retrieved from the device may be used within the app to display recognizable conversation information. Smart SMS Hub does not maintain an external database of the user's contacts.
Smart SMS Hub does not intentionally back up its private application data to cloud backup services.
SMS messages remain in the device's SMS storage according to the user's actions and Android system behavior.
Messages moved to Smart SMS Hub's Trash are retained locally for the configured retention period and may be restored or permanently deleted earlier by the user.
Users can clear locally stored app configuration and data through Android application settings or by uninstalling the app.
Users can revoke Contacts, SMS, notification, or other permissions through Android application settings where supported.
Smart SMS Hub does not maintain user accounts or an external Smart SMS Hub server containing user SMS or contact data.
Smart SMS Hub does not sell user data.
Personal or sensitive data is not shared with third parties except when necessary to provide a feature explicitly enabled by the user.
In particular, SMS content and sender information may be transmitted to Telegram when the optional Telegram forwarding feature is enabled and a message matches the user's configured rules.
The user's device contact list is not uploaded or shared with Telegram or other third parties by Smart SMS Hub.
Smart SMS Hub uses Android application storage and platform permissions to protect locally stored application data.
Internet communication used for Telegram forwarding is sent through the Telegram Bot API over network connections supported by Android.
Users should protect their Telegram Bot Token, Telegram Chat ID, and other configuration credentials and should not share them with unauthorized persons.
Smart SMS Hub may request permissions required for its messaging and optional features, including:
Read SMS — to display, search, organize, and manage SMS conversations.
Receive SMS — to receive incoming SMS messages.
Send SMS — to allow the user to send SMS messages.
Receive MMS / WAP Push — permissions associated with operation as the device's default messaging application where required by Android.
Contacts — to display saved contact names with phone numbers and allow users to select a contact when composing a message.
Notifications — to notify the user about newly received messages where notification permission is required by Android.
Internet access — used for the optional Telegram forwarding feature.
These permissions are used only for the app features described in this Privacy Policy.
Smart SMS Hub requests SMS-related permissions because it is designed to operate as the device's default SMS application.
Users remain in control of optional features and permissions.
Contacts access can be denied without preventing the user from using the app's core SMS functionality. In that case, conversations will generally be identified by phone number instead of saved contact name.
Telegram forwarding is optional and can be enabled or disabled by the user.
Users can also configure forwarding rules, Trash retention settings, and other app preferences.
Smart SMS Hub is not specifically designed for children. Users should only use the app in accordance with applicable age requirements and local laws.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when app functionality, permissions, or privacy practices change.
The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
