Welcome to the Privacy Policy for SmartRewriteAI, developed by Aatman Jain. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use our Android app. SmartRewriteAI is an AI-powered text rewriting tool that allows users to transform text into various tones and styles.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following data to provide and improve our services:

• Personal Information:

  • User IDs: An encrypted ID from Google Sign-In to identify your account.

• Financial Information:

  • User Payment Info: Payment details for subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing and not stored by us.

  • Purchase History: Subscription status to manage access to premium features.

• App Activity:

  • App Interactions: Usage data (e.g., button clicks, rewrite events) collected via Firebase Analytics to improve the app.

  • User-Generated Content: Text you input for rewriting, processed temporarily and not stored long-term.

  • Other Actions: Additional actions (e.g., tone selections) logged for analytics.

• App Info and Performance:

  • Crash Logs: Technical data about app crashes, collected via Firebase to fix issues.

  • Diagnostics: Performance data (e.g., latency, battery usage) to optimize the app.

We do not collect email addresses, location, health data, messages, or other sensitive information.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

• Account Management: User IDs and names (if provided) to authenticate and personalize your account.

• App Functionality: Process text inputs for rewriting and manage subscription access.

• In-App Purchases: Handle payments and subscription status via Google Play Billing.

• Analytics: Analyze app interactions, crash logs, and diagnostics to improve performance and user experience.

3. Data Sharing

We share data with third parties as follows:

• Google:

  • Google Sign-In: Shares user IDs and names (if provided) for authentication.

  • Google Play Billing: Shares payment info and purchase history to process subscriptions.

  • Firebase Analytics: Shares app interactions, crash logs, diagnostics, and device IDs to analyze usage and performance.

• Our Backend: User-generated text and user IDs are sent to our servers for text rewriting and account management.

We do not share your data with other third parties, except as required by law.

4. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data at any time:

• In-App Deletion:

  • Open SmartRewriteAI, go to Settings, and tap "Delete Account".

  • Your data is deleted immediately.

• Web Request:

  • Visit our Account Deletion Page.

  • Email our Data Protection Officer at smartrewriteai@gmail.com with your Google account email.

  • Requests are processed within 30 days, with confirmation sent via email.

Data Deleted: Encrypted user ID, text inputs, subscription status, and app interactions.

Data Retained: Anonymized analytics and crash logs (not linked to your account).

Retention Period: In-app deletion is immediate; email requests are processed within 30 days. Google Play Billing data is managed per Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption for user IDs and secure transmission to our servers. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

SmartRewriteAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us to request deletion.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The latest version will be posted here, with the effective date updated. Significant changes will be notified via the app or email.
