Who We Are
Smart Minds Smart Moves (SMSM) is a prevention and empowerment organization dedicated to strengthening underserved youth, families, and communities through financial literacy, emotional resilience, and authentic leadership development.
We exist to disrupt generational cycles by equipping individuals with the tools, awareness, and real-world skills needed to create sustainable change. At the core of our work is a simple belief: lasting transformation requires access to the right CODE—the systems, knowledge, and mindset shifts that unlock opportunity, healing, and upward mobility.
Through trauma-informed education, preventative programming, and practical life-skill development, SMSM supports youth, returning citizens, and first-time homebuyers as they navigate adversity and build pathways toward stability and purpose-driven success.
Our prevention-based model directly addresses critical community needs, including behavioral health awareness, substance misuse prevention, emotional wellness, and decision-making development—equipping participants to make informed choices before challenges escalate into long-term barriers.
Flagship Program
CODE R.E.A.L.™ is our signature youth development program serving Black and Brown youth ages 13–25. The curriculum strengthens:

SMSM also provides Train-the-Trainer certification and curriculum licensing, enabling schools, nonprofits, workforce programs, and community organizations to implement our evidence-informed, trauma-responsive programming with fidelity and impact at scale. This model allows partners to expand their reach, strengthen outcomes, and integrate high-quality prevention programming without building from scratch.

We deliver interactive, trauma-informed financial education focused on budgeting, credit, debt reduction, and savings. Through workshops and coaching, participants gain practical tools and measurable skills that support financial stability, improved decision-making, and long-term economic mobility.
Emotional Resilience Coaching& Workshops
Through trauma-informed coaching and interactive workshops, participants develop evidence-based coping strategies, strengthen healthy boundaries, and build emotional resilience that improves decision-making, stability, and overall life outcomes.
Curriculum Licensing for Organizations
Through licensing the Access Codes™ Series, organizations gain access to a turnkey, trauma-informed curriculum designed to support healing, resilience, and personal development. This allows schools, nonprofits, and agencies to deliver a proven empowerment framework directly to the populations they serve—without building programming from scratch.
