Individual privacy and data protection are important to the creator of Smarter Garage. This privacy policy is not a contract and does not create any legal rights or obligations.

The Information We Collect

Smarter Garage does not collect any information about you, except to store locally to your device information that you have stored for your own use. The only Internet or service connections made by the application are to communicate securely to SmartThings API to control your garage. The Smarter Garage application will never intentionally share information about you, and does not transmit any personally identifiable information, or otherwise as stated in this policy.

Smarter Garage uses location information for your own purposes and no other. The application functions by allowing you to set your own home location of your garage which is controlled by SmartThings. Then, the application uses background location information through Google provided "geofences" https://developers.google.com/location-context/geofencing which provides an optimal method to track your own location with minimal battery usage.

How We Collect Information

Smarter Garage collects no information from you or about you, and never transmits any information outside what is described in this policy.

How We Use Your Information

Smarter Garage only uses your location information and SmartThings API access information to help you manage your own garage.

How We Disclose Your Personal Information

Smarter Garage does not disclose personal information.

Your Choices

You may uninstall Smarter Garage or remove location access or SmartThings API key information at any time.

The Internet is not 100% secure. We use standard security measures. We cannot promise that your use of our websites, apps, or services will be completely safe. Any transmission of your data to our websites is at your own risk. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet. We keep personal information as long as it is necessary or relevant for the practices described in this Privacy Policy, including, for example, for legal compliance, dispute resolution, contract enforcement, backup, archival, and other internal operations purposes. Smarter Garage is not intended for children under the age of 16, unless you are driving a car. Then, the application is probably pretty useful, because that's the whole point of the app.

As Smarter Garage continues to develop, we may decide to revise this privacy policy from time to time. However, it's difficult to imagine why it would ever need to do anything with your information in the future.
