(SMART ENGLISH PROGRAM)
History
Watphutthabucha School, a coeducational school under Secondary Educational Service Area Office 1 (SESAO), Office of the Basic Education Commission : OBEC , Ministry of Education, was established according to the announcement of Ministry of Education on April 19, 1973. The school is located in the compound of Phutthabucha Monastery of Bang Mot sub-district Thung Khru district, Bangkok.

โรงเรียนวัดพุทธบูชาเป็นโรงเรียนในสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษาเขต 1 สำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน กระทรวงศึกษาธิการอยู่ในรูปแบบโรงเรียนสหศึกษา จัดทำขึ้นตามประกาศของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ เมื่อวันที่ 19 เมษายน 2516 ตั้งอยู่ในบริเวณวัดพุทธบูชา บางมด ตำบลทุ่งครุ กรุงเทพมหานคร

Our program
The school began the Smart English Program (SEP) in 2019 in order to provide students with an education that focuses on the English curriculum, English language and culture to provide knowledge on the English language, and western culture. Students are provided with the opportunity to learn from qualified native English teachers.
The Smart English program follows the same curriculum as the regular program, but uses English as the language of instruction in the teaching and learning process. We believe that using English as a teaching medium will increase students’ language ability and contribute to the national development.
The Smart English Program focuses on providing students with the best education. It offers valuable opportunities for educational advancement and life-changing impact. The program combines fun activities with English curriculum to provide a well-rounded program facilities and technology that support student’s learning. The program also includes cultural learning, allowing students to actively use their language skills in real life situations, to retain their learning ability and to build more confidence in using English.
Teachers who teach this program must be native English speakers with good academic backgrounds and experiences. All teachers must have a bachelor degree or higher with many years in teaching experiences.
The teachers who teaches in this program is to hold a university degree in secondary education in English, a master’s degree or a doctorate degree.
The teachers teach a correct usage of the English speaking and writing to help students develop creative composition skills through reading and literature classes. The teaching aims include a deep understanding of sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and literature. It encompasses teaching creative composition; prose, poetry, short stories, and narratives.
In addition, attention is focused on students' oral and written communication skills, which include critical thinking, oral and written comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
Recommendations from the students' parents are appreciated and students' preference are prioritized.
Regular evaluations are to be performed at the end of each semester to ensure the highest possible quality of teaching and students’ performance.

The students who graduate from this program will be able to:
1. To continue their higher study at the state and private universities
2. To continue their higher study in the International Programs at the state and private universities at home and abroad
3. To work as a translator or a tour guide etc.
โอกาสในการศึกษา
นักเรียนที่จบการศึกษาในโครงการห้องความเป็นเลิศภาษาอังกฤษสามารถ:
1. ศึกษาต่อระดับอุดมศึกษาทั้งในสถาบันการศึกษาของรัฐและเอกชน
2. ศึกษาต่อระดับอุดมศึกษา หลักสูตรนานาชาติ (International Program) ในมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐบาลและเอกชนและสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในต่างประเทศ

Admission Requirement
The students eligible for the program are required to hold the following:
A certificate of a primary school and junior high School level
A grade point average in English of 2.00 or higher
A good or positive attitudes towards English
A certificate certifying students having passed the basic English Test
คุณสมบัติ : นักเรียนที่จะเรียนในโครงการความเป็นเลิศทางภาษาอังกฤษในระดับชั้น มัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 และมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4
จบการศึกษาระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 และระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3
มีผลการเรียนในวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเฉลี่ยสะสม 2.00 ขึ้นไป
มีความชอบหรือทัศนคติที่ดีต่อการเรียนในวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ
ผ่านการทดสอบการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษขั้นพื้นฐาน
