We develop measurement techniques that can consistently measure from nano-materials to thin films, bulk materials, and thermoelectric modules. Excellent material development starts with accurately measuring the properties of the material. Smart Devices Team contributes to the development of new materials and the establishment of measurement standards at various scales.
Various physical phenomena that occur at the nanoscale can exceed the limits of conventional materials or open up new application fields. Through the synthesis of diverse functional nanomaterials using various methods, we develop advanced materials and conduct highly interesting research.
Nano-materials and 2D materials are too small in size and mass to be measured by commercial equipment. In particular, to measure the semiconductor transport characteristics of such materials, a finely designed component or platform is needed. Therefore, we are conducting research on designing and manufacturing microdevices through simulations and various semiconductor processes.
