The workshop "Recent Advancements in Smart Coatings for Food Safety" is organized in the framework of the PRIMA DurInnPack project, which focuses on the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for food packaging. This event will provide a platform for researchers, industry leaders, policy makers and stakeholders to discuss the latest technologies in smart coatings and their role in enhancing food safety. The workshop will cover a wide range of topics, including the development of advanced materials with antimicrobial and self-repairing properties, the integration of sensors for real-time detection of food contamination, and the use of biodegradable and environmentally friendly materials to promote sustainability. Discussions will also address how these advances can help improve food safety standards, extend product shelf life and minimize food waste, addressing some of the key challenges facing the food industry today.
