Soft Labs India ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Charging App: Battery Alarm & Charging Alert mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you download, install, and use our App.

We prioritize your privacy. The App is engineered with a local-first architecture: core monitoring and personalization features run directly on your device, and we do not operate external application servers to harvest, sell, or monetize your personal information.

1. Information Collection and Processing

• No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require account registration, login credentials, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, or personal identity details to access the App.

• On-Device Battery & Hardware Telemetry: The App reads battery level, charging status, temperature, voltage, wattage, and power connection states. This data is computed strictly on-device in real time to render charging animations, trigger configured alarms, and calculate session logs. It is never transmitted to external servers.

• Custom Media Files (Photos/Videos/Audio): When you use features like "My Wallpaper" (setting custom photo slideshows or video loops) or import custom alarm audio, the files are copied into the App's sandboxed local storage on your device. We do not access, view, or upload your media.

2. Device Permissions and Usage

To deliver its core features reliably, the App requests specific system permissions:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Delivers critical charging alerts, high/low battery warnings, and periodic daily battery maintenance tips.

• Foreground Service & System Alerts (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Ensures real-time battery tracking remains active without system termination and enables display overlays for charging animations on supported Android versions.

• Boot & Device Alarms (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED / SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Automatically re-arms your background battery monitoring and quiet-hour schedules after device restarts.

• Live Wallpaper & Dream Service: Enables dynamic battery live wallpaper themes and ambient OLED-friendly charging screensavers within Android's display settings.

Permissions are strictly scoped to the functional operation of the App.

3. Local Data Storage and Deletion

• Local Preferences: App settings (alert thresholds, quiet hours, selected wallpapers, and animation styles) and local battery history logs are stored securely in local app storage (SharedPreferences / SQLite database).

• Data Deletion: Because all user data resides solely on your physical device, clearing the App's storage via Android Settings or uninstalling the App permanently deletes all stored configurations, custom media copies, and history logs.

4. Third-Party Services and In-App Purchases

The App integrates trusted third-party SDKs to facilitate advertising, billing, and core Android support. These services may collect pseudonymous device identifiers in accordance with their respective privacy policies:

• Google Play In-App Billing: Manages digital purchases for Pro upgrades, standalone wallpapers, and widgets. We do not store or process your credit card, debit card, or payment credentials; transactions are handled directly through Google Play.

• Google AdMob (Free Version): Displays non-intrusive advertisements in the free tier of the App. AdMob may collect and process device advertising IDs (GAID), coarse network signals, and device parameters to serve relevant ads and prevent fraud. (Ads are disabled for Pro users).

5. Data Security

We enforce standard Android security boundaries and sandboxing to protect locally stored preferences. Since we do not transmit user files or personal identities across network endpoints or maintain remote user databases, your exposure to remote data breaches is minimized.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect, request, or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information via third-party integrations, please contact us immediately, and we will take appropriate measures.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted within the App and updated on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
