George Ambe, Chairperson & Treasurer
George Ambe is the retired Speaker of the Koboko District Council in Koboko, Uganda. George is also an uncle of the late Alice Layiki-Dehne.
Dr. Robert Kajobe, Executive Director & Secretary General
Robert Kajobe is a Professor of Agriculture and Director DGTRI at Muni University in Arua, Uganda.
Dr. Frank Dehne, Vice Chairperson
Frank Dehne is the husband of the late Alice Layiki-Dehne. He is also a Computer Science Professor Emeritus at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
Malisi Richard,
SmartChange Instructor, Arua (Uganda)
Malisi Richard conducts training workshops for new families entering Smart Change.
Malisi is a successful farmer and agricultural entrepreneur in Arua, Uganda. As a young man, Malisi was a student in the original SmartChange classes held by the late Alice Layiki-Dehne.

All members of the Smart Change organization are unpaid volunteers. For travel between Canada and Uganda or inside Uganda, our members pay all travel expenses from their own pocket.
100% of your donations are invested in securing land, purchasing seeds, and purchasing simple agricultural tools. All gardening work is done manually. Out there in the hot African sun, Ugandan families are working hard to feed themselves. Check out the PICTURES of some of those families.
