George Ambe †, Honorary Past Chairman & Treasurer
The late George Ambe was Speaker of the Koboko District Council in Koboko, Uganda. George was also an uncle of the late Alice Layiki-Dehne.
Dr. Robert Kajobe, Executive Director & Secretary General
Robert Kajobe is a Professor of Agriculture and Director DGTRI at Muni University in Arua, Uganda.
Malisi Richard,
Chairman & Treasurer
Malisi Richard is a successful farmer and agricultural entrepreneur in Arua, Uganda. As a young man, Malisi was a student in the original SmartChange classes held by the late Alice Layiki-Dehne.
Dr. Frank Dehne, Vice Chairman
Frank Dehne is the husband of the late Alice Layiki-Dehne. He is also a Computer Science Professor Emeritus at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.

All members of the Smart Change organization are volunteers. For travel between Canada and Uganda or inside Uganda, our members pay all travel expenses from their own pocket.
Your donations are invested in securing land, purchasing seeds, and purchasing simple agricultural tools. All gardening work is done manually. Out there in the hot African sun, Ugandan families are working hard to feed themselves. Check out the PICTURES of some of those families.
