Smart Call Rules · Last updated: August 12, 2026
Smart Call Rules (“the App”, “we”) helps you control how your phone handles incoming calls using rules that run on your device. This policy explains what data is processed, how Free and Pro plans work for privacy purposes, and your choices.
1. Summary
• Core call rules work offline on your device.
• We do not operate a backend that receives your contacts or call contents for rule enforcement.
• Free and Pro include the same rule features; the difference is how long active protection may run each day (see Section 3).
• Purchases are handled by Google Play Billing (one-time lifetime Pro). There is no subscription.
2. Data processed on your device
To evaluate rules for incoming calls and to run the App, the App may process locally:
• Incoming call numbers provided by Android’s call screening framework when you enable call protection
• Contacts and contact groups (if you grant permission), only to match rule conditions (for example contact, favorite, or group)
• This App’s own on-device decision history (how the App handled past screened calls), used for optional frequency-style rules (for example “calls today” / “calls in the last hour”). The App does not request or read the system Call Log permission
• Device telephony status such as roaming, when available and needed for a rule
• Rules, presets, quiet modes, settings, and decision logs you create or that the App stores
• License / purchase flags (for example whether Pro is unlocked) and free protection usage timers (local timestamps used to measure free active protection time per calendar day)
This processing is used to apply allow / block / quiet / note actions, show local history and status, and manage Free daily protection limits or Pro entitlement.
3. Free plan, Pro, and purchases
Free plan.
You may use all call-rule features on Free. Free actively enforces rules for a limited amount of time each local calendar day (currently 12 hours of active protection per day). When that free active time is used up, rule enforcement pauses until the next local day; your rules and settings remain on the device and the App remains usable for configuration. Free active time is measured on-device using local usage timestamps; it is not a cloud quota.
Pro (lifetime).
Pro unlocks 24×7 rule enforcement with a one-time lifetime purchase through Google Play (product such as lifetime_unlock). There is no subscription product. Google processes payment under Google’s terms and privacy policy. The App stores a local entitlement flag and may query Play to restore purchases (for example after reinstall on the same Google account).
Promo / gift codes.
Optional free codes may unlock Pro on-device. Codes are validated locally; a local flag is stored if redemption succeeds.
Free and Pro call-rule operation does not require uploading personal call or contact data to our servers.
4. What we do not do
• We do not require a Smart Call Rules cloud account for core call rules
• We do not upload your contacts or call history to developer-operated servers for enforcement
• We do not sell your personal data
• We do not show advertising in the core call-management experience as designed
• We do not use a developer-operated subscription
5. Permissions
• Phone / call screening — required so Android can offer incoming calls to the App and apply your rules
• Contacts — used on-device for contact, favorite, and group conditions
• Notifications — used for local notices (for example when a rule acts on a call, or when free daily protection pauses). Notifications are not used to send your call data to us
The App does not request SMS permissions or the system Call Log permission.
6. Google Play and third parties
If you buy Pro, Google Play Billing processes the transaction. Google may process purchase-related data under Google’s policies. We do not receive your full payment card details.
If you host or open this policy on third-party platforms (for example Google Sites), those platforms may process connection data under their own policies.
7. Backups and deletion
The App disables Android Auto Backup / data extraction for app data so rules, decision history, and local entitlement/usage state are not copied to cloud backup by default.
Uninstalling the App removes its local data from the device (subject to how Android and your device manage residual storage). Restoring a purchase after reinstall uses Google Play and your Google account, not a Smart Call Rules cloud account.
8. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International users
Processing described above is designed to occur on your device. Play purchases may involve Google’s global infrastructure under Google’s terms.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you should review the new policy.
