This Privacy Policy describes how SmartCalc Multi-Tool handles user information. As a developer-led project, we prioritize your digital privacy and data integrity.

1. Data Collection and Usage

SmartCalc is designed as a local-first application.

• Personal Data: We do not require users to create an account, log in, or provide any personal identification information (PII) to use the calculators.

• Calculation History: All calculation data and history entries are stored exclusively on your device's local storage. We do not have access to your financial, health, or personal calculations.

2. Data Security & Encryption

We implement industry-standard security measures to ensure your local data remains private:

• Encrypted Storage: User history is stored using AES-GCM encryption.

• App Lock: The app offers an optional PIN-based locking mechanism. PINs are never stored in plaintext; they are secured using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 hashing with 120,000 iterations to prevent unauthorized access.

• Screenshot Protection: On Android, the app provides a feature to block screenshots to protect sensitive data from being captured by other malicious apps.

3. Third-Party Services

• Local Processing: All calculations (Scientific, EMI, Salary, BMI, etc.) are processed on-device. No data is sent to external servers for processing.

• External Links: The app contains links to developer profiles (LinkedIn, GitHub, WhatsApp). Clicking these links will open your device's web browser or relevant third-party apps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external platforms.

4. Permissions

The app may request the following permissions only when necessary:

• Storage/Media: Required solely for generating and saving PDF reports of your calculations directly to your device.

• Haptics: Used to provide tactile feedback during app navigation and calculations.

5. Children’s Privacy

Since our app does not collect any personal data or transmit information online, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or legal requirements. Users are encouraged to check the "App Information" section within the app settings for updates.
