Smart AC Power Cutoff ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Smart AC Power Cutoff Android application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our application and the choices you have associated with that data.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Because our app is designed to communicate locally via Bluetooth with your hardware power monitor, we do not collect, store, share, or track any personal or sensitive user data.
While using our Application, we do not require you to provide us with any personally identifiable information. The app functions entirely locally on your device and interacts directly with your paired hardware device.
Bluetooth Permissions (BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT): The app uses Bluetooth solely to communicate with your already paired hardware power-monitoring device to transmit your target battery cutoff percentage and monitor charging status. No location data is tracked or collected through Bluetooth.
Battery State Information: The app reads your local phone battery percentage and charging status strictly to compare it against your user-defined target percentage. This data is processed locally in real-time and is never transmitted to any external server, cloud database, or third party.
Foreground Service & Background Execution (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): The app runs a continuous connected-device service in the background so that your battery cutoff target works reliably even when the screen is off or the phone restarts. Battery optimization exemption is requested solely to prevent the operating system from interrupting active charging protection.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): The app utilizes notifications only to alert you of the live charging status while your device is plugged into AC power.
Local Storage: Any target percentage you set within the app is stored securely and locally on your device using standard Android SharedPreferences.
No Third-Party Access: Since no data leaves your device and the app does not connect to the internet, there is no risk of data breaches, selling of user data, or unauthorized third-party tracking.
Our Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
