HawkApps Studio ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application, Smart Tools ("the App"), handles your information and describes our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of data.
Smart Tools is primarily an offline utility and calculator application designed to perform tasks directly on your device. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not maintain user accounts, and all utility operations (measurements, calculations, unit conversions, local notes, audio measurements) are processed locally on your device.
The App requires certain runtime permissions solely to provide core tool functionalities. Here is a transparent breakdown of each permission:
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used exclusively for the QR & Barcode Scanner and Magnifier (Digital Zoom) tools. We do not store, record, or transmit any images or video feeds to external servers.
Microphone / Audio (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Used exclusively for the Sound Detector (Decibel Meter) to calculate ambient noise levels, the Speech-to-Text tool to transcribe spoken words into text locally, and the Sound Recorder tool to save voice memos on your device. Audio recordings are never uploaded or shared.
Location (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Used solely by the GPS Speedometer tool to calculate real-time traveling speed and distance. Your location data is processed live in memory and is never logged, tracked, or sent to any server.
Physical Activity (android.permission.ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION): Used exclusively by the Step Counter (Pedometer) tool to detect your steps locally using the device hardware sensor.
Storage & Photos / Media Access: Used by the Image Compressor, Image Converter, and PDF Generator tools to allow you to select images from your gallery for compression/conversion and to save generated documents to your local device storage.
Wi-Fi & Network State (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used by the WiFi Signal Strength tool to read your current connection parameters (e.g., signal level, link speed, SSID) locally.
The App offers optional In-App Purchases (Smart Tools PRO) to unlock premium features and support development.
All purchase transactions are processed securely through the Google Play Billing API.
We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card, banking, or financial billing details.
Google Play manages payment validation in accordance with the Google Play Terms of Service.
No Third-Party Advertising: The App does not contain third-party ad networks (such as AdMob, Unity, or AppLovin) and does not track users for behavioral advertising.
No Unsolicited Tracking: We do not track your device identifiers, IMEI, or personal profiles across third-party websites or services.
All user-created data (such as Notes, Calculation History, and Preferences) is saved locally on your device using SharedPreferences and local storage.
Uninstalling the application or clearing the app cache will permanently delete this locally stored data.
Since we do not transmit personal data to remote servers, your information remains under your direct physical and device-level control.
Smart Tools is a general audience utility application. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
