1. Introduction Aegis AI ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal finance tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.
2. Data We Collect All financial data you enter — expenses, income, budgets, and savings goals — is stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal financial data on our servers.
When you use the AI Assistant feature, the text of your message and a summary of your financial context (totals and category breakdowns, not individual transaction details) is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. This data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We use Firebase (by Google) to securely deliver AI responses to the app. Firebase does not store your financial data. Firebase's privacy policy is available at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
3. Data We Do Not Collect We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not have access to your device's contacts, location, or other sensors.
4. Data Storage and Security Your financial data is stored exclusively on your device and is protected by your device's built-in security (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode). We do not have access to this data.
5. Third-Party Services The app uses the following third-party services:
Google Gemini API — for AI-powered financial assistance (https://ai.google.dev)
Google Firebase — for secure cloud function delivery (https://firebase.google.com)
6. Children's Privacy Aegis AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Data Deletion Since all data is stored on your device, you can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.
8. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
