Smart Desk Reminder (“the extension”) is designed to help users maintain healthy and productive work habits through customizable desktop reminders. The extension offers optional Google Sign-In functionality using the Chrome Identity API.

Optionally, the developer may log the user's name and email to a private Google Sheet for internal analytics and extension interest tracking.

When idle state is detected:
Reminder timers may automatically pause
Notifications may temporarily stop
This prevents unnecessary notifications while the user is away from their desk.
Used only for optional Google Sign-In functionality through Chrome Identity APIs.
This permission is not required for core extension functionality.
Used to create an offscreen document for playing reminder sounds.
Chrome service workers cannot directly play audio, so the offscreen API is required for sound alerts.
Smart Desk Reminder does not use remote code.
All JavaScript, assets, and extension logic are bundled locally within the extension package.
The extension does not load:

Remote scripts
CDN-hosted code
WebAssembly modules from remote servers
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user data with third parties.
If optional Google Sign-In is enabled and logging is configured:
Name and email may be written to a private Google Sheet accessible only to the developer.
No other user data is shared externally.
We take reasonable measures to protect user information and ensure that all locally stored settings remain secure within the browser environment.
Smart Desk Reminder is not intended for children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
