INTRODUCTION

About SCAPA and SCC

Smart Campus Campaign - SCC (originally named Smart Campus Campaign) - is a competition-based campaign to promote creative solutions for smart universities towards smart cities. SCC helps create a premise to promote research projects, startups and technology transfer, connecting educational partners - government - and businesses to jointly develop innovative solutions for a smart city.
SCC has been organized since 2017 by the University of Danang, chaired by the DNIIT International Institute of Technology (DNIIT Institute), in collaboration with Cote d'Azur University (France), AUF Francophone Community, the UD member universities, educational partners, and domestic and international governments and businesses. From 2023, SCC has been expanded internationally, with the participation of countries in Southeast Asia, mainly sponsored by the AUF Francophone University Organization under the SCAPA project and Cote d'Azur University, France.

SCAPA 2024

The International Competition for Pacific Asia - takes place on 7-8 November 2024 at the ISSCEI 2024 International Conference, held in Da Nang, Vietnam. The ISSCEI: International Symposium of Smart City: Experiences and Innovations conference is a gathering place for smart city solutions from international and domestic experts, taking place at Danang.

TOPICS

SCAPA 2024 focuses on the theme of "Innovation Solutions for Sustainable Development" including but not limited to emerging technologies, such as IoT applications on the LoRaWAN platform, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, etc. for various applications.

1 First Prize: 10 million VND

competition rules

Participant: Individuals or groups of students (up to 5 members) from Asia Pacific universities.

Validity: The proposed solutions must be novel and have not won or published at any other competitions or research programs.

Evaluation criteria:

Criteria:
- Novelty and Innovation; Applicability; Technical feasibility of the solution; Commercialization/technology transfer ability, Presentation skills;
Optional criteria: from Sponsors (if applicable).

Presentation and Submission requirements: Each project team: please submit before October 25, 2024:

- A 05-minute video introducing the project (in English with French subtitles or in French with English subtitles);
- A 2-page white paper, in English, for ISSCEI symposium, template: here. The selected papers will be published to the ISSCEI proceeding - ISBN: 979-8-3507-0402-0;
- A poster slide file, A0 size, in English. Template: here.

Presentation requirements

Each project team will present in 5 minutes on their poster and demo their product to the international Board of Judges;
Language: English or French.

Board of Judges:

At Mid-round selection (only to UD teams): Vietnamese professors and experts from the City, Enterprises, Organizations, and Sponsors;
At SCAPA 2024: International and Vietnamese professors and experts from the City, Enterprises, Organizations, and Sponsors.
