London society of the 18th century is awash in scandal, gossip and intrigue. And the entire town is delighted! Sheridan's classic comedy is sophisticated, rowdy and fun. This version of the play prunes the proceedings to under 2 hours, maintaining all of the funniest scenes including the famous "screen scene." A single interior setting serves as all of locations and the roles have been adapted to provide an even number of roles for men and women.
