SmallPDF Pro Editor & Scanner (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile PDF toolkit application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is an independent PDF utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Smallpdf AG, Smallpdf.com, or any related company.

A. Information you provide directly
We do not require or collect personal details such as:

• Email address
• Phone number
• Password
• Mailing address
• Billing address
• Debit or credit card numbers
You can use the App without creating an account or providing that information to us.
B. Documents and files you process
PDFs and other files you open, edit, merge, split, compress, convert, scan, sign, watermark, protect, unlock, or organize are processed on your device. We do not upload your documents to our servers. Access to files is only through permissions you grant (for example, via the Storage Access Framework or camera for scanning).
C. Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we and our advertising partners may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:
• Device type and operating system version
• Advertising identifiers
• Basic app and ad interaction data needed to display and measure advertisements
D. Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. We do not use Facebook, Google, or other social media accounts for registration or login.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the limited information described above to:
• Provide and operate the App
• Process PDFs and related files on your device
• Display advertisements

• Improve App stability and user experience

We do not use personal account details (name, email, phone, password, or address) because we do not collect them. We do not use the contents of your PDF documents for advertising.

3. THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING (AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob to show banner and interstitial ads.
Google and its partners may collect and process device and advertising identifiers and related data to serve, personalize, and measure ads.

You may limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example, by resetting your advertising ID or turning off ad personalization on Android).

We may disclose limited technical/advertising-related information to:
• Google AdMob and its advertising partners, to display and measure ads
• Authorities, if required by law
We do not disclose your PDF documents or personal information to:
• Online review platforms
• Business affiliates (parent companies, subsidiaries, or joint venture partners)

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

We do not operate a server-side account database of names, emails, phone numbers, passwords, or addresses.
Recent documents, favorites, settings, and temporary cache files are stored locally on your device and can be cleared in Settings or by uninstalling the App.
Advertising-related device data may be processed by Google AdMob as described in Section 3.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited data involved. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The App is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you believe a child under 18 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. YOUR RIGHTS AND REQUESTS

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, or delete certain information.
Because we do not collect account profile information such as name, email, phone, password, or address, there is typically no such data stored by us on our servers for us to provide or delete.
You can clear the App’s local data or uninstall the App from your device at any time.

8. DATA RETENTION

We retain only what is needed to operate the App and show ads, and only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by law.
Local app data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App. Advertising partners such as Google may retain certain data according to their own policies.

If you use the App outside the country where processing occurs, information related to ads and device identifiers may be processed in other countries that may have different data-protection laws.
