Smalley Dam was created towards the end of the 18th Century by John Redford, the High Sheriff of Derbyshire, who used it as a boating lake to impress his friends and family.
The restoration group was set up in 2012 in order to develop and improve the area for visitors and for wildlife. If you're interested in joining us, get in touch or come along to one of our work days - occasional Saturdays or Sundays from 9am until at least midday (usually from May/June until October).
