Small World Plays & Musicals is not a publishing company. It is a platform that allows you to deal directly with the playwright. Removing the middle man provides a more direct and personal connection between your production and the playwright.  It also affords the playwright an opportunity to provide performance rights for reasonable royalties.  

This site provides a platform for those theatre companies who wish to balance their big-name productions with material that can be simply produced. It offers stage-tested plays and musicals for companies on a limited budget.  The selections on this site include classical works, radio plays and new musicals crafted within single sets, with more balanced casting opportunities. 

Certain titles provide links to Amazon so you may purchase acting versions of the script. Other titles provide digital copies. Once you have registered your production and have made the necessary contractual arrangements with the playwright, they will email you a folder that includes a digital version of the script, any sheet music, and the performance license. From this packet, you may make whatever copies are necessary for your production. We only require that you delete the digital sources of these copies after your production is completed.  Scripts you purchase on Amazon may be kept for archival purposes or souvenirs.
