Smacked zine is a multimedia project by Hunter Schmuck. Its aim is to provide creatives an outlet that is independently maintained. Originally focusing on local work, Smacked now provides a platform for anyone and everyone who chooses to send in work on a global scale.

Each edition is available for free both digitally and in a limited physical edition. The freedom of the zine format allows for each issue to be whatever it needs to be—whether that means crazy formatting, uncanny art features, and/or a lack of artistic censorship.

Production is based in rural Oklahoma, with most distribution taking place in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Schmuck edits each issue, formats the digital editions, binds the physical copies, curates the zine's online presence, and distributes the physical copies.
