Home Delivered Meals:$3 suggested voluntary donation for eligible clients. Offered to those who are homebound eligible. Meal sites deliver meals in their respective areas. ALL MEALS SERVED 12:00 to 12:30 pm

Food Banks and Emergency Food Delivery

Pre-boxed food will be distributed during normal business hours (see below) for weekly and monthly pick-ups. Clients are encouraged to stand 3-6’ apart in the line.

For individuals who are in need of emergency food, but can not make it to a food bank. The Food Bank Network is piloting emergency non-contact food delivery in Alamosa and hoping to expand to other SLV communities with help of volunteers.

Food Benefits (SNAP)

County Socials Services are eliminating face to face interaction. Applying for food stamps and other benefits can be done through Colorado.gov/peak, by picking up a paper application, or by phone.

The San Luis Valley Local Foods Coalition is now providing remote SNAP application appointments. To schedule an appointment email snapslv@slvlocalfoods.org, call 719-937-2319, or text SNAP to 719-539-5606.

La Puente Community Meals

The La Puente Shelter has stopped serving meals until further notice. Grab-and-Go Lunches can be picked up from 12:00-12:30 pm, and Dinners can be picked up from 6:00-6:30 pm Monday through Friday at the Alamosa Presbyterian Church, located at 330 San Juan Avenue Alamosa.

Alamosa Schools

Beginning Monday, March 23rd ASD will be providing grab and go meals at AES K-2 Cafeteria from 10 am-12:30 pm and various community locations. The buses delivering to the community will stay at the designated stops for 20 min to allow time for pick up while still adhering to the recommended social distancing of 6’. If unable to make any of these stops, please call 719-422-3208

Centennial Schools

Centennial School will provide Grab-and-Go meals for anyone age 18 and under at various locations. Families will be able to pick up meals on Mondays and Wednesdays until school reopens. Bags will contain breakfast and lunch for two days. One person representing the family can pick up the meals for all their children. Locations:

  • Centennial School from 8:30-9:30 am

  • Community Center in Old San Acacio from 8:30-9:00 am

  • Church in Chama from 8:30-8:50 am

  • Church in San Francisco from 9:00-9:20 am

  • Fire Station in Garcia from 9:30-10:00 am


Center Schools

While schools are closed, Center Schools will provide Grab-and-Go student meals for children 18 and younger. Food will be distributed weekly in front of the cafeteria on Mondays between 10:00 am and Noon. Food will be provided for the week. Call 719-754-3442 with any questions.

Creede School

Free Lunch Pickup forms will be sent via email each Thursday around noon and are due each Sunday by 6pm. If you are not receiving the emails, please call 719-658-2220 or email kelsey.evans@creedek12.net to be added to the list.

Del Norte

Contact Chris Burr with all questions regarding meal service at cburr@urtigers.co or 719-657-4040. The school is working with the CDE school nutrition meal delivery service. Families who qualify for free or reduced lunches can take part in this program. If your family has had a recent change in financial circumstances, the school will help you fill out an application to receive meals.

Moffat School

Meals will be available for pick up for kids 0 - 18 Mondays and Wednesdays 11am-1pm at Moffat School. Pull your vehicle up and staff will assist you.

Monte Vista

While schools are closed, Monte Vista School District will provide curbside meal service at Marsh Elementary, Bill Metz Elementary, and Monte Vista High School (for middle and high). Any Monte Vista student can pick up bagged meals Mondays through Thursdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Call 852-3586 to request to pick up meals for all of your children at one campus.

Mountain Valley

Beginning March 26th until April 16th. Lunch & breakfast bagged meals will be available for pick up Mon-Thurs from 10am -11am at the school (403 Pitkin Avenue) and the KV Clubhouse. North Conejos

Starting Monday, April 6, 2020, each Monday and Wednesday, 2 days of food per delivery will be served to supplement your child for the entire week. To insure we are making enough food for your family please contact Amber Martinez by phone at 719-274-3901. If Amber is not in the office please leave your name, how many children we need to prepare meals for, drop off location and a phone number. Amber will call you back in a timely manner.

Sanford

Sanford Schools Food Services will provide drive-thru meals to students PK-12th grade while schools are closed. Staff will be in front of the school from 7:30-10:00 am to hand bagged breakfast and lunch to families. Call 719-274-5167 for more information.

Sargent

Starting on Tuesday, April 7th, Sargent Cafeteria will hand out meal packages to anyone that is interested. You will receive a weeks worth of meals per order for your children. If you are interested in this service or have any questions, please email Val Bonsall atveichner@sargent.k12.co.us.

Sangre De Cristo

Sangre de Cristo Schools is offering free meals for everyone in the household under 18. Each day will include breakfast and lunch delivered together. Meals will be offered daily, Monday - Thursday, at 3 drop-off points from 10:30-11:00 am. Drop-off points are The Alamosa Bus Stop, Mosca Park, and Hooper Park.

Sierra Grande

Sierra Grande will provide Grab & Go breakfast and lunch Monday - Thursday for those 18 and under. Please wait in your vehicle for staff to bring bags to you. Volunteer drivers will have pink signs in their windows. Meals will be delivered to the following locations:

South Conejos

Starting March 30, South Conejos Schools will provide a meal delivery service on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30-9:30 am. Meal bags will contain breakfast and lunch for two days. Drop off sites are as follows:

  • Intersection of County Rd. G and County Rd. 17 (Espinoza Lane) in Lobatos

  • South Conejos Schools, 13099 County Rd. G

  • Guadalupe Parish parking lot, 6633 County Rd. 13

  • Intersection of Hwy 17 and D.5 Mogote. Turn off to Canon Bonito RV park.

Meal bags will be placed on tables along district vehicles. Please pull your vehicle along the tables and the staff will hand you the number of bags you need for the children 18 and under in your household. If you have not been receiving meal bags and you would like to start, please call the school at 719-376-7001 to let them know how many you need.
