Nosotros la Gente: The Power of Our Voice
Elections play a central role in the functioning of democracies. Their outcomes are often interpreted as representing the “will of the people.” What does it mean for the majority to prefer one alternative over another? Why do people vote? Furthermore, we should understand how our political system works: how is our government organized, how our leaders are picked, how the government interacts with social groups and individuals, and what are the major political cleavages. It is vital to stay informed on the policies and laws which impact nearly every aspect of our lives.

Celebrating Mother Nature: La Diversidad de Nuestra Tierra
Our daily actions all make an impact that not only affects our quality of life but the lives of other living organisms and the supply of necessary natural resources. Worldwide, products are packaged and made “disposable” for the consumer’s convenience, not bringing awareness to how this can negatively impact our ecosystem. But the damage does not end with just plastic. Although environmental awareness is a topic that is increasingly being brought up amongst the public, more motivation and changes have to be done in order to help reduce and rewind ecological damage.
