Overview
SLT Fleet ("we," "our," or "us") provides a driver and fleet management application used by drivers and administrative staff of Sweet Life Transport LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By creating an account or using the SLT Fleet app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. This policy is also available online at https://sites.google.com/view/sltfleetapp/privacy-policy.
Information We Collect
Personal and Identification Information
We collect information you provide when you create an account and complete your driver application, including your full legal name, date of birth, phone number, home address (current and, if applicable, previous addresses), emergency contact name and phone number, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) number, issuing state, expiration date and class, and driving history including prior accidents or violations. If you update your phone number, home address, or emergency contact information through the app, those changes are logged and administrative staff are notified so company records can be kept current.
Tax and Financial Information
We collect taxpayer identification information submitted on your W-9 form, which may include your Social Security Number (SSN) or, if you operate as a business, your business name and Employer Identification Number (EIN). We also collect bank account information through our ACH Authorization form, including bank name, account type, routing number, and account number, for the purpose of issuing direct deposit payments. Account numbers are stored encrypted. Administrative staff can view full account details as necessary to process and verify payments; however, this access is limited to authorized personnel only.
Electronic Signatures and Biometric-Style Data
When you sign documents through the app — including your Independent Contractor Agreement, Company Driver Agreement, FMCSA Equipment Lease Agreement, ACH Authorization, or other required forms — you may draw your signature using your finger on the touchscreen. This drawn signature is captured as a digital image and stored as part of the signed document record. While we do not use this signature for biometric identification purposes, you are providing a digital representation of your handwritten signature. By signing through the app, you consent to the capture and storage of your drawn signature for record-keeping and contractual purposes under Georgia law.
Documents and Photos
We collect documents you upload or photograph through the app, including your DOT physical examination form, DOT medical card, CDL, MVR report, vehicle title or lienholder documentation (for owner-operators), vehicle registration, vehicle inspection reports, and a profile photo. These may be submitted via your device's camera or selected from your photo library. Uploaded documents are stored securely and are accessible to authorized administrative staff for compliance review and record-keeping purposes. Approved documents may be deleted and re-requested by administrative staff if a resubmission is needed, and you will be notified when this occurs.
Vehicle Information (Owner-Operators)
If you operate your own vehicle under our authority, we collect vehicle details including year, make, model, color, VIN, mileage, license plate, and, if applicable, lienholder name, address, and phone number.
Location Information
The app uses your device's location services to support clock-in and clock-out geofencing. When you clock in or out to begin or end a shift, we record your GPS coordinates and use them to confirm you are within range of an active job site. This location data, along with the resolved street address, is stored as part of your hours and compliance record. Location is not checked or required when starting or ending a break — you may take a break from any location, though GPS coordinates for break actions may still be recorded for reference. We do not track or store your location continuously or outside of these specific clock-in and clock-out events. Location services can be disabled at the device level, but doing so will prevent you from clocking in or out for a shift.
Hours of Service and Compliance Monitoring
The app monitors your daily and weekly driving hours to support FMCSA Hours of Service compliance. We track total time on duty, time since last break, and proximity to the 11-hour daily driving limit and 70-hour weekly limit. This information is used to send you timely push notifications reminding you to take required breaks, alerting you when you are approaching regulatory limits, and notifying you of missed clock-in or clock-out events.
Push Notifications and Device Tokens
To deliver push notifications, we collect and store a device-specific push notification token when you enable notifications on your device. This token is used solely to send you app-related notifications, including break reminders, clock-in and clock-out reminders, document status updates, pay stub availability, support responses, and new chat messages. You may disable push notifications at the device level at any time. Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the app, but you will no longer receive real-time alerts.
Communications
If you submit a Help and Support request or use Team Chat, we collect the content of your messages, any photos or files you attach, and basic metadata such as timestamps and sender identity.
Usage and Device Information
We may collect basic technical information such as device type and operating system to support app functionality and troubleshooting.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to verify your identity and eligibility to drive under our DOT authority, generate and manage required compliance documents and agreements, calculate and issue pay through direct deposit, confirm your location at clock-in and clock-out for Hours of Service and job-site verification purposes, monitor Hours of Service compliance and send regulatory and safety notifications, communicate with you regarding your account, pay, compliance status, document requests, or support requests, notify administrative staff of profile changes and compliance events, and meet our recordkeeping obligations under FMCSA and other applicable federal and state regulations.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. Information you provide is shared only as necessary with administrative staff of SLT Fleet for the purposes described above, and as required by law or regulation — for example, information may be reported to the IRS via Form 1099-NEC, or provided to FMCSA or other regulatory bodies as required for compliance recordkeeping. Clearinghouse-related information is shared only with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse as authorized by your signed consent form.
Document Retention and Re-request
Administrative staff may review, approve, or reject documents you submit. If a document is rejected, you will receive a push notification explaining the reason and will be asked to resubmit. Administrative staff may also delete a previously approved document and request that you resubmit it if a correction or updated version is needed. You will be notified any time a document is removed and re-requested. Some records must be retained for the period required by FMCSA and other applicable regulations even after you stop driving for us.
Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database and storage provider. Sensitive information such as bank account numbers and signature images is stored encrypted or in access-controlled private storage. Access to your personal, financial, and document information within the app is limited to authorized administrative staff only.
Your Choices
You may update certain information, such as your profile photo, phone number, home address, and emergency contact, directly within the app. If you wish to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, you may contact SLT Fleet administration directly through the Help and Support feature in the app or by emailing sweetlifetransport@gmail.com. Please note that some information must be retained for regulatory compliance purposes even after your employment or contractor relationship ends.
Children's Privacy
This app is intended for use by licensed commercial drivers and administrative staff who are adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The current version is always available at https://sites.google.com/view/sltfleetapp/privacy-policy.
