Each year SLSCA recognizes counselors and other individuals who have made major contributions to the counseling profession. Below is the nomination form for each category of professional recognition. 

•  The nomination window is open November 2- November 8, 2026.  

• Nominees will be notified of their nomination November 9-10, 2026.

• The Award Application Window is open November 9, 2026 - January 3, 2027.

• Scoring takes place January 4-9, 2027.

• Applicants will be notified January 11-15, 2027

• Awardees and Applicants will be recognized at the annual Professional Recognition Breakfast on February 4, 2027.
