Senior Project Fellow

Pratik completed his master's from HNG University. He submitted his dissertation work on the denning and feeding ecology of Indian fox in north Gujarat. Soon after he joined the sloth bear conservation project as a Junior Project Fellow. In this project, he did education and outreach about the sloth bear and leopard in central Gujarat along with habitat and occupancy survey and interacted with local people to know their perception towards the sloth bears. He is a member of the International Association for Bear Research and Management (IBA), USA as well as the Association of Zoologists, India. He is also a Co-founder and the Director of Operations of WCB Research Foundation. He is PhD Scholar at the Department of Life Sciences, HNG University, Patan and studying the Sloth bear habitat in non-protected areas of Gujarat to address Human Sloth bear conflicts. He has received research grant from IBA and CHCC, Colorado state University, USA and instrument grants from Ideawild® Foundation, USA for his PhD research.
