February 14-16, 2026, UC San Diego
Field maps and parking information can be found at this link.
If you are parking on campus, you must pay for parking on Saturday and Sunday. Don’t risk a ticket! They are expensive. Parking will be free on Monday because it is a university holiday.
Please pay for parking at the pay station in the lot or via the ParkMobile app. (we would recommend the ParkMobile app because you can view and edit your time.) Visitor passes are valid in V, S, and B spots on the weekend. Do not park in A spots! Visitor parking on weekends is $2.25/hour (max $9). If using the Parkmobile app, enter zone number 4752 or the code posted in the parking lot. You can find parking lots and structures on this map.

SLOCORE SUPPORTERS FAQ
What is the Slocore Supporters Group?
Slocore Supporters is a group of team parents and supporters who enjoy watching the games, like to cheer on the team, and look for ways to be a support to the team.
How do I get in touch with other SLOCORE parents and supporters?
We have a Google Sheet with supporters names, emails and cell numbers who want to stay connected to the team. We also have a group email address you can join to receive emails for information about upcoming tournaments, how you can help, and details that you might want to know.
Group email address: slocoresupporters2025-26@googlegroups.com
We primarily communicate via a Whats App group. We also have a google group email address. You can email Gwen King at gwenking75@gmail.com to add you to the email group or ask your player to give your email address/phone number or contact info to a team captain, and they can pass it along to us. Grandparents, friends and alumni are also welcome to join.
How can I sign-up to help with a tournament?
We have a spreadsheet set up so parents/supporters can sign up to let us know they plan to come, and what they want to bring to help. A separate tab/sheet is set up for each event (see tabs on the bottom of the spreadsheet).
How can I donate to the Slocore Supporters efforts?
We have a parents donation fund set up a way to collect donations specifically to help pay for team snacks, lunches, or other things that would be helpful to the team during tournaments. This fund is not for paying for air travel or accommodations generally. Please Venmo https://www.venmo.com/u/slocoresupporter
if you want to donate for tournament snacks and supporter expenses.
Cal Poly has a giving portal to donate directly to the club team. These funds are used to pay for tournament fees, uniforms, accommodations for the team, and other expenses, offsetting the dues that the players pay. As it is a gift to the University, it qualifies as a charitable donation for tax purposes, a great options for year end giving. Many employers offer a match for such donations
The giving portal can be found here: https://securelb.imodules.com/s/699/bp19/interior.aspx?sid=699&gid=1&pgid=961&cid=2272&bledit=1&dids=406
Does playing on the team cost anything for players?
Yes, they pay dues during the year, which usually covers the cost of uniforms, tournament fees, and some for accommodations. If they host a tournament at SLO, then they can get money towards team expenses. The team also accepts donations for the team from parents and alumni. Dues cost can vary, but it’s usually about $150 per quarter.
If I don’t live nearby or are not able to attend tournaments, what other ways can I help the team?
You can offer to help coordinate sign-ups for tournaments, or make a financial donation to the Slocore Supporters fund or team (see above)
When is the regular season for Ultimate Frisbee?
Usually the regular season is in the Spring, but Slocore also plays in practice tournaments in the Fall and pre-season tournaments before the regular season starts.
How can I find out the team’s tournament schedule?
Once we find out from the players what the schedule is, we will send it out to the group email address. The schedule is also posted on the Supporters Google website.
For regular season tournaments you can look up tournaments on https://usaultimate.org website (under College D1-Mens) to find out the schedule usually a week or so in advance. During the regular season, Wednesday is usually the magic day to check out details (including times, pools, etc.) for tournaments coming up that weekend!
How can I find out which field the team is playing on at any given tournament?
Once we find out from the players what the schedule is, we will send it out via What’s app and post it to the Supporters Website. Or you can ask your player. They usually find out during the week prior to a tournament. Sometimes they post it on https://usaultimate.org.
What does a typical tournament schedule look like?
At a typical tournament, they have Pool Play games on Saturday, and then play brackets (Quarters, Semis, Final) games on Sunday morning or afternoon. Some tournaments they might have a Friday night game or Monday morning. For Nationals, it is usually a 3-4 day event, The team usually plans to stay for the whole time. The championship game is usually played on the last day.
How can I find out which hotel the team is staying at for any given tournament?
The team leaders arrange for the team housing for tournaments. Parents arrange their own accommodations, and some will also share where they are staying and any deals on flights they know about.
How can I find pictures from the tournaments?
Parents who took pictures usually post them to a website and share the link with the team via email. Also sometimes the players post pictures or videos to Instagram or Twitter. A photo gallery is available on the supporters website.
If I can’t attend a game, is there a way I can find out how the game is going?
We use What’s app for real time updates. Text Gwen at 3 zero 3-5 zero 1- zero 72 zero if you want to be added to the group.
Follow on Instagram: @slocoreult
If you have a USA Ultimate account they have real-time updates on major tournaments. Sometimes field locations too. https://play.usaultimate.org. Sometimes games are live-streamed on https://ultiworld.com, and usually you have to have a subscription to watch.
How do players arrange for transportation and accommodations for tournaments?
The players usually make their own arrangements for carpools and where they will stay overnight for in-state tournaments. Sometimes they stay with players’ families if they live close enough to the venue, or they stay in a motel or Airbnb. For away tournaments, they usually try to stay in an Airbnb or motel close to the field.
Air travel to tournaments recommendations:
When air travel is needed, players make their own arrangements. Usually they have a team spreadsheet where players can share with others what flights they are on, so that they can coordinate rides/carpools to and from the airport. Generally flying out of LA or San Jose is better and cheaper from SLO, but it depends, so it is good to check for the best flights before purchasing tickets. Try to avoid super cheap flights (like Spirit) as sometimes those get canceled, and players can get stranded (it has happened!). Direct flights or flights with less connections are best!
When and where will the Nationals 2026 tournament be:
The D-I Championships will be held May 22-25 at the Mercyhealth Sportscore Two athletic complex, in Rockford, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.
Where can I get fan gear to wear at the games?
The captains are working with Spin, the team jersey sponsor, to set up a supporter gear store. We will send more details when available.
