Considering the progress trajectory and if all things remain the same, the legacy from the project should enable the continuation and progress toward SLM to be "excellent" within 3 years after project closure.

An example from one of the GEF5 SLM Project landscapes where Progress was calculated at village level in the grasslands of Machubeni. Overall average progress for the entire landscape after 3 years was assessed at a score of 28. The baseline score was assessed at 18.
Therefore, the SLM Score increased from Average to Good.
