About Me

Hello! My name is Dylan Klevan, and I am a certified music educator with a passion for helping students discover the joy and confidence that comes from making music.

I earned my Bachelor of Music Education degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and hold Pennsylvania and New Jersey K–12 music certifications. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of all ages in both instrumental and general music settings, including elementary band and orchestra programs throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

As an educator, I believe that every student can grow as a musician when they are given the right guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to succeed. My lessons focus on building strong musical foundations, developing proper technique, improving musicianship skills, and helping students become confident performers while enjoying the process of learning.

I have experience teaching private-style instrumental instruction, leading ensembles, and working with students from beginner through advanced levels. My background includes teaching elementary band and orchestra, directing rehearsals, and supporting students as they develop skills in areas such as tone production, music reading, rhythm, and performance.

Outside of teaching, I have performed in a variety of university ensembles, including concert band, wind ensemble, marching band, jazz ensemble, orchestra, brass ensemble, and chorus. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for many styles of music and continue to influence my approach as a teacher.

Whether a student is just beginning their musical journey or looking to improve their skills, my goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where they can grow, explore their creativity, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
