SLHRoster ("the App") is an independent shift and duty management tool designed to help professionals track and organize their work schedules. We respect your privacy and are legally committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with global and local data protection laws, including the Sri Lanka Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) No. 9 of 2022, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
By downloading, installing, or using SLHRoster, you agree to the data practices and legal disclaimers outlined in this document.
SLHRoster is provided on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" basis without any warranties of any kind. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the following limitations of liability:
Independent Personal Utility Tool: SLHRoster is a generic, independent personal productivity tool. It is NOT affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Sri Lanka, any government department, or any specific private corporate sector.
User Verification Responsibility: This app functions strictly as a digital diary helper. The official paper or electronic roster issued by your respective employer or hospital management remains the sole legal authority. Users are strictly required to manually verify their actual schedules against official workplace documents.
Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances shall the developer or owner of SLHRoster (6AM Studio) be held legally or financially liable for any professional setbacks, disciplinary actions, missed shifts, loss of wages, or employment disputes resulting from software glitches, synchronization delays, incorrect user data entry, notification failures, or technical issues within this app. Use this application entirely at your own risk.
User-Controlled Data Input: SLHRoster functions strictly as an empty, private utility interface (similar to a digital notepad, pocket diary, or alarm clock). The app does not crawl workplace servers, nor does it automatically fetch or scrape employer shift schedules. Every roster entry and shift timing is input manually, independently, and voluntarily by the individual user.
Purely Personal & Domestic Purposes: By inputting your schedule, you acknowledge and agree that you are processing this data purely for personal, private, domestic, and household time-management purposes (such as planning your personal routines, family schedules, and daily commutes).
Exclusion of Commercial Processing: Because the data is strictly held in your private user account for individual productivity—and is never shared, traded, or publicized by the developer—this processing falls squarely under the personal use exemptions of localized data protection frameworks, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), No. 9 of 2022 of Sri Lanka.
We operate on a strict data-minimization principle. We only collect data essential for the App to function:
Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and a secure authentication token (UID) via Google Firebase to verify your identity and sync your data.
User-Generated Content: Shift information, duty rosters and notes that you manually enter into the App.
User-Generated Custom Shift Labels (Data Ownership): The application provides a 'Custom Shift' creation feature. Users are strictly prohibited from entering classified state information, institutional trade secrets, or restricted military/government ward or department names into custom fields. Any custom labels created within the app are processed as local, user-managed text strings. The developer does not audit, verify, or assume responsibility for the proprietary nature of text typed into custom shift settings.
To ensure app stability and fix technical glitches, we utilize third-party tools, specifically Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. These services automatically collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable information when the App crashes or encounters errors. This data includes device type, operating system version, and crash traces, used strictly to improve performance.
Depending on your usage, the App may request specific system permissions:
Notifications: Used strictly to trigger on-device shift reminders and alarms.
Under global frameworks like the GDPR and local frameworks like the PDPA, our legal basis for processing your data is your explicit consent and our legitimate interest in providing you with the App's core services. We use your data exclusively to:
Provide the core functionality of the App (saving, organizing, and displaying your work schedules across devices).
Authenticate your secure login via Firebase.
Diagnose technical bugs and improve App stability.
Note: We do not use your data for targeted advertising, background location tracking, data broker profiling, or commercial monetization.
The 'Calculate Hours' feature is automated based on standard numerical inputs provided by the user. It functions strictly as an approximate reference tool and does not constitute official payroll, overtime, or legal labor accounting. SLHRoster does not account for specific institutional break deductions, varying public holiday premium rates under Sri Lankan Labor Law, or individual corporate penalty rate structures. Users must rely solely on official corporate or government pay sheets for financial or legal claims.
SLHRoster utilizes localized device notifications to remind you of manually scheduled shifts. These reminders are triggered entirely on-device. The developer takes no responsibility for missed notifications resulting from device battery-saver modes, operating system background execution restrictions, or device hardware power failures.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. Because we operate globally, your data may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside of your resident country.
Data Isolation: Our database is secured with strict access rules. Your roster data is cryptographically tied to your unique user ID (UID), meaning no other user can access, read, or modify your information.
No Local Unencrypted Storage: We do not extract your data to offline, unsecured servers. By using the App, you consent to the secure transfer and hosting of your data via Google's cloud infrastructure.
We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not sell data to data brokers (in compliance with the CCPA). We will only disclose information if legally compelled to do so by a valid court order or international law enforcement request.
Regardless of your location, we extend comprehensive data rights to all users:
Right to Access and Modification: You can view, edit, or delete specific duty entries at any time within the interface of the App.
Right to Erasure (Permanent Account Deletion): You have the right to completely and permanently delete your account and all associated data.
In-App Deletion: You can delete your account instantly at any time by navigating to the settings menu directly within the App.
Web/Email Deletion Request: If you have already uninstalled the App and no longer have access to it, you may request permanent account and data deletion by sending an email from your registered email address to 6amstudio.dev@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
Data Handling Upon Deletion: Once initiated through either method, your account metadata, email records, and all user-generated roster data are instantly and irreversibly erased from our active Google Firebase database.
This App is designed for working professionals and is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect global legal changes, local regulatory compliance adjustments, or software updates. Continued use of the App after updates indicates your explicit acceptance of the revised policy.
