Ms. Leonard

Susan Leonard has taught Health and Physical Education in the Scottsdale Unified School District since 2003. She earned a BA in Physical Education and History from Doane College, a Masters in Physical Education from the University of Nebraska, and initiated doctoral work at the University of Iowa in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Child Development and Counseling. Susan was recognized as a 2007-08 Arizona Middle Level Teacher of the Year. In 2012, she was chosen as Arizona Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year, and served as the 2014-15 President of Arizona Health and Physical Education. Susan achieved National Board Certification in 2013.
