Dr. Kshitij Kumar Yadav is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, where he moved in October 2021. His research group is primarily interested in the mechanics of slender structures, development of non-destructive techniques for capacity prediction of imperfection sensitive thin shells, structural dynamics and ground-motion simulation, and application of Application of Physics Informed Deep Learning for Solid Mechanic.
Dr. Yadav received a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur (2009), a M.Tech in Structural Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (2011), and a Ph.D in Structural Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2020). He then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2020-2021). Prior to academia, Dr. Yadav served as an Engineer (Software Development) at ANSYS, Pune, India, between 2011 and 2015, where he played a key role in the development and maintenance of Design Modeler, a geometric modeler based on the Parasolid kernel and written in C++.
