Founded in 2015, SLEIGHT ENSEMBLE is a group of composer/performers focused on the realization of new music in the San Francisco Bay Area. Featuring ERIKA OBA (flute), STEPHANIE M. NEUMANN (saxophones and voice), and JACOB LANE (piano), and drawing on their diverse backgrounds in jazz, band, choir, education, audio/video, and music therapy, the ensemble’s performances have included concerts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and neighboring communities including UC Davis, Santa Clara University, Fellowship Hall at Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, the Center for New Music, the SIMM Series, Octopus Literary Salon, and The Musical Offering. Through an array of programming, they have performed pieces from acoustic to multimedia works and have featured collaborations and commissioned premieres from a variety of artists.
