This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Sleet app ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect the following information when you use the App:
Account & Identity
Name, date of birth, gender, age
Phone number (via OTP login) or email address (via Google Sign-In)
Firebase User ID (assigned automatically on sign-in)
Health & Fitness Data
Height and body weight
Workout history: exercises, sessions, sets, reps, weights
Cardio data: distance and duration
Progress photos you choose to capture (stored locally on your device only)
AI Feature Data
Voice transcripts submitted for workout logging (text only — audio is never recorded or stored)
AI Coach chat messages (stored in your personal cloud account)
Workout plan preferences (gym type, goal, experience level, etc.)
Usage & Technical Data
Notification permission status
App onboarding completion status (stored locally)
Feature usage quotas (voice logs, AI sessions, plan generations)
Directly from you — when you create a profile, log workouts, or interact with AI features
Google Sign-In / Google People API — optionally used to pre-fill your name, date of birth, and gender during profile setup (only if you sign in with Google and grant permission)
Automatically — Firebase assigns a unique user ID when you sign in
We do not use your data for advertising.
We do not sell your data to any third party.
All data transmitted between the App and Google Firebase is encrypted in transit using TLS. Firestore data is encrypted at rest by Google.
When you use the AI Coach, workout plan generator, or voice logging:
Your workout data and/or voice transcript (text, not audio) is sent to Google Gemini API servers for processing.
Google's data handling for Gemini API is governed by Google's AI terms.
Audio is never recorded or transmitted. Only the text produced by on-device Android Speech Recognition is sent to Gemini.
AI-generated responses are not stored by us beyond your Firestore account.
Photos you capture are stored exclusively on your device in private internal storage.
Photos are never uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.
Photos are included in local backup zip files that you explicitly choose to export.
Deleting the App or using Reset All Data permanently removes all stored photos.
Workout data is retained until you delete it or reset your account.
AI chat history is stored per day in Firestore. Each day's conversation is a separate document.
Backup files on your device are retained until you manually delete them.
If you delete your account or use Reset All Data, all local data is immediately deleted. To delete your Firestore cloud data, contact us (see Section 13).
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data (via Profile → Edit Profile)
Delete your data (via Profile → Reset All Data, or by contacting us)
Export your data (via Profile → Export Backup)
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting the App
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data:
All cloud data is transmitted over TLS
Firestore data is encrypted at rest by Google
Backup files are tied to your Firebase UID — only you can restore your own backup
No sensitive credentials are stored in the App beyond your signed-in Firebase session
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the Sleet app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
